DHHS OSA MYDAUS: http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/osa/data/mydaus/index.htm

2. Loading the program:

Q. I'm having problems loading the program.

A. Check these three areas.

  1. Check to make sure that you are using a supported web browser. Supported web browsers are: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x or above, Netscape Navigator 7.x or above, or Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6 or above.
  2. Make sure your browser is setup to allow cookies.
  3. If the application still will not load properly, try deleting the cookies and temp files from your computer's cache.

3. Navigating the application:

Q. How to tell what county subdivision I am selecting before selecting it? I understand that once I select it, it will appear in "my regions" but is there a way to have the name appear before I select it?

A. Yes, on the map tools drop-down, select "Identify Feature(s)" and then click on a region and it will tell you the name of the city, county, state, etc.

Q. How do I un-select specific area/region if I chose an area that was not my intention? Is there a way to go back and clear it?

A.  You can click on "Remove from My Region" and click on the area that you want to remove or you can click on "Change My Region" and proceed from there. Another option is to click on "Reset Defaults" - but be aware that this is like re-loading the application - all your existing work will vanish.

4. "Missing" Data

Q. Why is some data not shown on the maps?

A. Data is sometimes not available when the numbers are small and publishing the numbers might allow confidential information about an individual or family to be disclosed.
